One in five Americans lives in a rural area. Crystal grew up here. It’s the heart of our nation and it’s been forgotten by our nation’s leadership. Small town America has built community within hearts, but the economy has left. It’s time we invest in our farmers and those who build with their hands. The Green New Deal supports small town America through local initiatives and guaranteeing jobs to build up our heartland once again. Crystal promises to appoint and hire Department of Agriculture leadership who has experience and understanding of how to support those who tend to our land and animals in a way that is sustainable and smart.
